Setting Up FORSCAN on your computer

Once FORSCAN in installed in your computer, you will need to do some configuration to ensure that it works with your tool and vehicle. Ensure that you have downloaded and installed the drivers before attempting the steps below.
1. Launch FORSCAN
2. Go to settings (cog icon)
3. Go to connection
4. Set connection type to FTDI

5. Plug in the scanner to your vehicle's OBD2 port
6. Connect the USB end to your computer
7. Set ignition to ON/ACC or start your engine
8. In FORSCAN, go to vehicle and interface information (car with i icon)
9. At the bottom is a button to connect to vehicle which you must select to start the connection
10. If unable to connect, toggle the silver switch to a different position (FORSCAN will sometimes prompt you to do this)
